The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recently released draft guidelines that preserve access to all current screening methods.

The USPSTF recommended:

  • Women 21-29: Cervical cancer screening every 3 years with the Pap test
  • Women 30-65: Cervical cancer screening every 5 years with Pap + HPV testing together, every 3 years with Pap testing alone, or every 5 years with HPV testing alone

The Task Force is currently working on the final version of the guidelines. It’s crucial to speak out in support of these recommendations that would keep decisions about screening methods between women and their providers.
